Job Summary:
The MorphoTrust Systems Engineer (SE) is the technical lead on projects from both the customer’s perspective as well as internally within the company.

Essential Job Functions (includes but is not limited to):• Gather business requirements

  • Communicate effectively through (1) accurate, thorough, and detailed documentation and (2) succinct oral presentations with slides, whiteboard drawings, and demonstrations
  • Lead interactions with customer and internal teams through face-to-face, on-site, and remote meetings
  • Design and coordinate delivery of custom software components that meet customer needs
  • Design technical interfaces between customers’ and MorphoTrust’s products
  • “Manage” the customer, including handling scope creep, setting correct expectations, and maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate the work of multiple technical resources
  • Keep up-to-date and be conversant on a broad range of technologies
  • Expected travel up to 25%

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Required:

  • Demonstrated experience successfully designing technical solutions
  • 3+ years of experience leading technical teams through a full Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • 5+ years of experience working directly with customers (not just internal stakeholders) to synthesize, capture, and clearly communicate requirements
  • Some hands-on software development experience
  • Solid understanding of networks and data transmission methods, platform and architecture, XML, web services, security, and databases

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Preferred:

  • Experience performing, not simply coordinating, systems integration work
  • Experience with Microsoft products and Microsoft .NET
  • Expert knowledge in secure credentialing, such as biometrics or anti-identity fraud

Qualifications, Education and Experience:

  • BS in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
