Job Summary:
This person’s primary responsibility will be to provide program support for fielded Drivers License and ID programs.
Essential Job Functions (includes but is not limited to):
- Issue resolution (Response to field generated issues)
- Program delivery support (Early delivery phases of a program)
- Program upgrade support activities (Upgraded or enhancements)
- CI Factory “flow” support efforts (Batch processing flow management)
- Office expansion requirements in Gov’t Programs.
- Supporting QA, Tier 3 SW with Test Lab Maintenance.
- SW version updates
- Research and answer Field Managers’, technicians’, and Customers’ questions concerning fielded software;
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and configuration issues in fielded programs;
- Participate in system integration and testing of new programs;
- Assist with system documentation;
- Assist in testing other legacy programs when needed;
- Work on multiple projects and changing priorities; and
- Work effectively with multi-functional teams.
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to provide clear written and verbal communications for both internal & external customers;
- Demonstrable experience in learning new technologies and concepts quickly and accurately;
- Ability to communicate challenges and obstacles in a timely manner to team leaders and management;
- Desire to work in a diverse operational environment structure that includes different departments and reporting structures.
- Issue resolution and troubleshooting efforts in a team-oriented environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field;
- 2 years’ experience supporting applications and associated platforms;
- IIS 6.0 installation, configuration and administration experience;
- SQL Server 2005 administration and basic scripting;
- Windows XP installation, administration, configuration, and mass-deployment;
- Windows Server 2003 installation, administration, and configuration.;
- .NET web services installation with WSE 3.0;
- Active Directory configuration and administration;
- Basic understanding of XML; and
- OS updates, including WSUS.
- Occasional visits to customer locations during program delivery phases; and
- Service calls to address system performance issues on an emergency basis.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP configuration, DNS, standard service ports, and firewall configurations.
- Windows 2000, Unix/AIX/Linux administration;
- Basic Oracle administration; and
- Tools such as FTP, Telnet, SSH
