ABIS System FaceExaminer is a revolutionary forensic application – unique to L-1 Identity Solutions – that helps you analyze, search and identify faces of wanted subjects taken from surveillance video. FaceExaminer is used on a forensic workstation and submits enhanced face images for mugshot search in ABIS System Search Engine. FaceExaminer is a powerful tool for enhancing the effectiveness and performance of face recognition in investigative environments, where the quality of images is poor or the person may not be facing the camera directly.

ABIS System FaceExaminer combines robust examination tools to extract faces from grainy or unclear images, correcting the effects of poor lighting, off-angle poses, and blurriness. The FaceExaminer lets you manipulate, filter, and extract a clearer image and identify hard-to-find facial landmarks before sending to the backend ABIS® System Search Engine, thereby increasing identification search results. The combination of the highly accurate back-end facial recognition technology with the front-end automated tools for analyzing facial images results in more identifications and more crimes solved.
