Passport Card & Border Crossing Card Solutions

1st RFID vicinity card of its kind in the world for Border Crossing.

The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) requires U.S. and Canadian travelers to present a passport or other document that denotes identity and citizenship when entering the U.S. The goal of WHTI is to facilitate entry for U.S. citizens and legitimate foreign visitors, while strengthening U.S. border security. Standard documents will enable the Department of Homeland Security to quickly and reliably identify a traveler.

L-1’s U.S. Passport Card – a convenient, wallet-sized document for land and sea travel between the United States and Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean and Bermuda.

The card has a vicinity-read radio frequency identification device (RFID) chip that enables Customs and Border Protection inspectors to access photographs and other biographical information stored in secure government databases before the traveler reaches the inspection station.

The Department of State expanded the U.S. Passport Card contract to include the Border Crossing Card (BCC) specifically for Mexican Visa applicants.
