IMPORTANT: If you have an older version 4.xx of the Fingerprint Reader Components (FRC) already installed on the PC, you will need to uninstall it BEFORE installing this version. Installing over the older version could make your fingerprint reader become unstable. This is not required if the existing version is 5.xx or higher.

Legacy device support has been removed since FRC 5.00. If you require drivers for a previously supported fingerprint device not listed here, please contact L1 Biometrics Division Technical Support.

Single/Dual Fingerprint Reader SDK Downloads

Please see the Release Notes included in the zip file for what has been updated in this release. We have included the “Install procedure” below.

Install procedure

  1. If you have plugged in the device, please unplug it now.
  2. Run the DFR-500 SDK installer. Standard installations should just use the default settings.
  3. After the SDK is completed, plug in the device to your USB Port.
  4. Windows will see the device and automatically install the driver.
