Our History

Complete Solutions with a History of Innovation

MorphoTrust USA, Inc. was formed when L-1 Identity Solutions was acquired in July 2011 by Safran, a global technology powerhouse in aerospace, defense, and security and an international top-tier supplier of systems and equipment. Today, MorphoTrust is a Morpho company and the U.S. leader in identity solutions and services.  The company dates back nearly 60 years, from the time the first photo was added to a U.S. driver license, employing a team of experts - some of which have been with the company over 40 years - bringing unmatched expertise and experience in the industries we serve.

MorphoTrust has led our customers through many significant transitions, with numerous industry “firsts,” including major innovations in secure ID issuance, biometrics, and enrollment services. Our technologies are continually recognized for superior accuracy and performance as demonstrated  by the independent reports issued by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and our 2013 award as "Biometrics Company of the Year" by Frost and Sullivan.
